How is everyone’s Fall going?!

I had Tara Pino, of The Summit School in Queens call me last week with a very cool and unique request. Do I know of anyone who might be interested in collaborating with them. sooooo here I am 🙂

Tara is the Principal/work based learning coordinator, and a friend of mine and all around good person. This opportunity is a great way to give back, develop our youth, get networked in with the Queens community, and more!

The details
School Info – The Summit School is a private school in Queens specializing in supporting, nurturing, and growing students who have learning disabilities, challenges, or differing intellectual abilities. If you have never seen or heard of the school, please have a look at the link below – they do INCREDIBLE things for these students.

The ask – To have students support work across industries. These students will be HS students in 11th & 12th grades. This is purely virtual. You can interact with them over email to assign tasks. It is definitely helpful for everyone to have at least 2 zoom calls during the time they would be doing the work.

Time commitment – 4-6 weeks. Every Thursday for about 2 hours. Between 8:30am – 12pm

Who – There will be 3-4 students. Work can be assigned individually or as part of a group.
